MARUSEN CHEMICAL INDUSTRIAL Ltd. was founded as a manufacturer of tableware in 1898, and at present the fourth generation owner succeeds it.
It was about 1930 that the second generation started manufacturing tiles. We have crushed materials into pieces, mixed soil for ceramics ourselves since established.
Nowadays we use a large grinding machine and mix materials, to remain the same texture as the opening. We still produce potteries, about 10% of all productions, which are mainly “tatara-style” since ancient times. We value “decorate” as a culture of Japan by applying manufacturing techniques of ceramics, and try hard to make the products well-matched for buildings and loved for ages.
